When the temperatures start dropping and the snow starts flying, Summit County starts itching to get outside. Skiing and snowboarding are the most iconic of course, but Copper Mountain offers so much more for the Winter adventure seeker. Take a look below for some Winter Activity ideas.

  • Skiing at Copper Mountain

    Copper Mountain's naturally-divided terrain offers world-class skiing and riding for all ages and abilities. With over 2,500 acres to explore and three pedestrian-friendly village areas, there is truly something for everyone.

  • The Woodward Barn

    Open during both the Summer and Winter, the Woodward barn is an indoor action sports playground. The facility features multiple skate/scooter/bmx/roller blade zons, six different levels of foam pit jumps, indoor ParkSki™ and Burton ParkBoard™ training, springfloor, tumble track, five Olympic-grade flybed trampolines and one 12'x12' Super Trampoline, The Barn has everything you need to practice your moves and have tons of fun in every session.   • Snowmobile Tours

    Whether you choose their standard two-hour tour over groomed high mountain terrain or a high performance ride through powder filled back country bowls, White Mountain Tours will show you the grandeur of the Rock Mountains at elevations from 11,000 to 12,000 feet at the ‘top of the world’.   • Rocky Mountain Coaster

    Located at Copper Mountain, the Rocky Mountain Coaster is 5,800 feet long, making it one of the longest in North America. It descends 430 vertical feet on an average grade of 10.9%!   • Uphill Tours

    Copper Mountain offers Uphill Tours where individuals can join a group of Alpine touring enthusiasts for a fully guided uphill experience in a safe and non-threatening environment. Don't have equipment? No problem! A rental of uphill touring skis or a splitboard is included with the tour! Reservations ahead of time are required.     Snowshoeing

    Looking to try something new or take a day off of the slopes? Snowshoeing is a great way to explore the High Rockies in a way that is sure to beat the liftlines. Copper Mountain guest services rents snowshoes out of West Village and even provides free snowshoe tours! With trails directly out of West Village, an alpine adventure has never been so accessible.     In the mood for apres? Summit County is in no shortage of hop flavored options to quench your thirst. Some of the local favorites include Outer Range Brewing in Frisco, Angry James in Silverthorne, Dillon Dam Brewery in Dillon, and Highside Brewing in Frisco.

    Athletic Club

    The Copper Mountain Athletic Club will NOT BE OPEN during 2020-21 Ski Season. 

    The Copper Mountain Athletic Club hosts a 25-yard lap pool, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, a weight room with free weights, a cardio center, and racquetball courts. Click here for more information from the Copper Mountain website.
